The Deep Forest Collection of Wearable Art
The images on all of the Deep Forest items are taken from a large, very detailed photo-digital art print, Hidden Complexity, which I exhibited in two solo shows in 2019 and 2020.

It is part of my growing body of work based on trees and forests, making compelling images from bare branches and the branching behaviours found throughout nature.

These images immerse us in a mysterious and magical forest, with glowing blues, blue-greens and deep reds. Look closely at the subtler details to find more magic and complexity.

I only offer these scarves in pure silk, because only silk captures the true colours and subtleties of my original artwork. And nothing compares with the feel of silk which is why it is favoured by luxury brands.

• Each scarf is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada with a machine-rolled baby hem for a tidy finish

Care
• Reactive inks are permanent
• Due to some residual ink from the print process, for first washing wash alone with a full load setting in cold water. Add a mild detergent, 1 cup vinegar and 2 tsp salt. For future washes, machine wash cold water with a phosphate free detergent. Add a mild fabric softener to enhance softness and drape
• Hang to dry
• Iron on silk setting (delicate) with low steam
• Expect some shrinking: 1% in width and length
